Yesterday my inbox bogged down with the tremendous volume of email. I was expecting some large images. So I tolerated the horrible decline in performance as I perused the usual web sites. However, after a good half hour I still hadn’t received a single message, so I was forced to leave the room, and continue my day, hoping that the images would arrive eventually.

More than an hour later, I had mail. And the very first message was not from the expected business, but instead from the company described in the previous post “But I Don’t Work For You Any More.??? To summarize for those who are not regular readers, this business sort of runs conventions. They let me go around the beginning of the year, but then kept sending me projects. I think that they eventually fired me around 5 times. Well, now they’d sent me some positively enormous images, with instructions on cropping them to fit the new web site for which I did not have permission, or passwords, to modify.

OK, so it looks like another silly task, immediately followed by a 6th termination. But then I looked at the email addresses on the Cc list. There was mine, but with someone else’s name attached. So I guess they’re not ‘temporarily re-hiring me out of incompetence and confusion.’ Instead they seem to be ‘mistaking me for one of their own vice presidents.’

I sent them a polite reply explaining that perhaps in the future they don’t want to email proprietary data. I don’t really expect a response.
